The Church of the Immaculate Consumption Praying to products - because shopping is the new religion. The Church of the Immaculate Consumption was a series of large scale consumer interventions in places like Selfridges, House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols and John Lewis. Each action was unique - during our biggest act of worship 50 people prayed in the Selfridges flagship store on Oxford Street, London, until they were forced to close their doors. Brothers and Sisters come together. Give thanks and praise to the exquisite Cathedral of Consumption. Let us pray to designer products, thank you opportunity to buy a beautiful lifestyle, hallelujah, sisters and brothers, hallelujah.
